Perennial Abundance

for a Nourishing Lifestyle

Gardens are an invaluable part of our engagement with our home and landscape.  They offer us physical and spiritual nourishment, in the form of a beautiful, productive, natural space.

Perennials are at the heart of any regenerative food system.  As food crops, they yield in increasing abundance over their lifetime, with decreasing input from the grower, without seasonal soil disturbance.

Polyculture is created when perennials are grown in harmony with annuals, fungi, soil life and animals.  A mosaic pattern of different classes of life provide the soil body with diverse root stratum, and plant forms and function, ensuring nourishment to neighboring individuals, thereby building a resilient and productive ecosystem.

 Philosophy

Regional Focus

Our aim is to cultivate and perpetuate the beauty and abundance that  characterizes Appalachian culture.  These mountains contain some of the most diverse and productive habitats in the country.  Regional staples like chestnuts, paw paws, ramps, huckleberries, ginseng, elderberries, and many types of mushrooms dot the landscape.

This floral abundance supports strong, rich populations of wildlife, and livestock, which in turn provide ample sustenance for humans.  Our work brings all the edible abundance of this region to you and your homestead.
